In order to become an official member of the BrewFanatics you must recite the BrewFanatics oath.  (Haha.  You really don't have to do it, but we thought it would be funny.)

Repeat after me.

I, YOUR NAME, do solemnly swear that I will do everything in my

power to avoid consuming the dull, watery beer made by the BMC
(Budweiser, Miller, Coors) companies.  I hereby pledge make my best
concious effort to support only small and/or local craft breweries by
drinking their delicious, full flavored beers.  I do realize, however,
this is a very daunting task, since the BMC companies control over 80%
of the beer market… AND they spend billions of dollars on advertising…
AND every bar serves their beer… AND the beer aisle at my grocery store
is filled with their beer… AND my friends always drink it because they
are worried about calories… but NEVERTHELESS, I will give it my best
effort.  I also realize it is
customary to drink a beer when someone buys it for me, even if I
don't agree with their beer choice.  But when it comes time
for me to buy them a beer, I will make it count and buy them a delicious
craft
beer. Cheers!

Life is short, drink good beer!

We also thought about adding a phrase to the Oath about how it is customary to drink a beer when someone buys it for you, even if you don't agree with their beer choice.  We don't want to come off as beer snobs.  Snobby behavior is for wine drinkers.  But when it comes time for you to buy them a beer, make it count and buy them a good craft beer.  What do you think?

This is the best policy. A friend of mine bought a round of Miller Lite. I happily accepted and when it was my turn I returned the favor with a Bell's Oberon.

Second:

I, Ryan Murphy, do
solemnly swear that I will do everything in my power to avoid consuming
the dull, watery beer made by the BMC (Budweiser, Miller, Coors)

And I agree completely with the drink-it-if-someone-else-buys-it policy. Snobbery won't help us convince BMC drinkers that craft beer is the way to go!
